The Seminario Mayor de Bogotá, officially Seminario Conciliar de Bogotá or also known as Seminario Mayor de San José, is a Catholic Seminary for priestly formation and belongs to the Archdiocese of Bogotá and is one of the oldest in America, founded in 1581 as Seminario de San Luis. Its headquarters is a Romanesque style building in the El Chicó neighborhood, located on the east side of Bogotá’s Carrera Séptima. It occupies a lot in a wooded area of the eastern hills of the city.
In 1946, Ismael Perdomo Borrero[2] had new facilities built in the former Hacienda El Chicó. In 1960, Luis Concha Cordoba entrusted the seminary to the Sulpician Fathers, with Alfredo Morin as its rector (they would be in charge of the Seminary until 1980). It acquired a national and international character after the celebration of the Second Vatican Council with the reception of young men from other Latin American dioceses.
Currently the Major Seminary is located in the headquarters built by the architect José María Montoya Valenzuela between 1943 and 1946, during the time of Archbishop Ismael Perdomo and on a property donated by Enrique Pérez Hoyos and Mercedes Sierra de Pérez, in the eastern hills near the El Chicó neighborhood.[3]

El mieloma múltiple (MM) es un trastorno clonal derivado de las células plasmáticas que representa alrededor del 1% de todas las neoplasias de reciente diagnóstico. Los datos disponibles sobre el tratamiento del MM en América Latina son limitados, y el acceso a agentes novedosos para una parte importante de la población está limitado por sus altos costos.
RENEHOC es un registro observacional multicéntrico bidireccional (retrospectivo y prospectivo) de neoplasias hematológicas en Colombia. En este informe se analizan los pacientes con MM incluidos hasta julio de 2020.
Se reportan 890 con una mediana de seguimiento de 18 meses (IQR: 7-42 meses). Los pacientes fueron clasificados por grupo de edad (≤ o > 65 años). La mediana de edad en el momento del diagnóstico fue de 67 años (IQR: 59-75 años) y el 47,1% de los pacientes eran mujeres. 709 pacientes (79,6%) recibieron esquemas basados en Bortezomib como parte de la primera línea. Doscientos cincuenta y dos pacientes (28,3%) se consolidaron con un trasplante autólogo de células madre (TACM) en primera línea. La consolidación con ASCT y la edad fueron los principales factores independientes que influyeron en los resultados; en la cohorte sin ASCT, la supervivencia global a los 5 años fue del 48,7% (IC 41,8-55,2) en comparación con el 80,7% (IC 73-86,4) en los pacientes con ASCT.
